A Night at the Cinema Membership Campaign
Inviting and witty art direction for a new membership campaign for Picturehouse Cinemas.
Concept
To reinforce every enjoyable moment that is a trip to the cinema, we created a lively, heist-inspired campaign that captures a night at the movies.
Our vision was to transport people through the Picturehouse logo and into the cinematic experience. Lighthearted film references are entertaining for repeat views.
With Picturesmith, we recreated the world of cinema to evoke the happy feelings of meeting a friend, grabbing refreshments, and waiting for the film to start.
Delivery
Developing a playful brief, we commissioned a composer, sound mixer, and animation studio to achieve a fun, attention-grabbing, watch-again trailer.
Careful art direction and skillful animation sees the trailer design language inform campaign posters that promote different member benefits.
Fifteen second stings also highlight specific membership benefits and roll out to a full suite of print and digital membership campaign materials.
