Simplicity and modernity guided this first full rebrand since 1989, repositioning the brand as forward-thinking, aspirational and audience-centred.

Concept

Picturehouse is one of the UK’s most loved families of cinemas. In this exciting rebrand we evolved the existing brand identity into one of confidence, simplicity and modernity.

This rebrand, the first since their inception in 1989, deserved a thoughtful repositioning to connect with today’s audiences, whilst honouring the past. 

We developed a visual language that champions an apologetic love of cinema and an independent approach.

Delivery

The new logo represents all aspects of Picturehouse, creating a single brand system for the entire group, and existing and future cinemas. 

The hand-rendered logotype is clear, confident and positive. Debuting a new aesthetic - unique to the industry - set Picturehouse apart from the competition. 

The distinctive palette and graphic devices are impactful and effective in print and on screen. And allow for future generations of varied yet connected graphic materials.
